I have been a math teacher for 26 years, serving the last 16 of those years at Ashe County High School. I hold B.S. and M.A. degrees in Secondary Mathematics Education from Appalachian State University, and earned National Board certification in 2003. I am a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, licensed in 9-12 Mathematics with endorsement in Physics. I am married to Steve Brown. We have four children: Peyton, Hallie, Rhett, and Kade.
