My name is Sarah Beckworth, and I have taught at Ashe County High School for 15 years. I am originally from Watauga County where I attended high school and received my undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University in English Education. I also have a master's degree in English from UNC-Chapel Hill, and, clearly, I am a huge fan of the Tarheels. I also teach online courses for Wilkes Community College.

My husband, Josh Beckworth, also teaches English here at ACHS, so my three kiddos are constantly forced to endure dorky English teacher talk at home. I also enjoy playing bluegrass and old time music with my husband, reading, and enjoying the outdoors (when I am not grading essays!)
